Abstract
In the case of equipment that has a large ripple effect in case of failure, such as transformers, it must be replaced before failure. Therefore, from the perspective of asset management, it is necessary to analyze the life of transformers operating in Korea and determine the appropriate replacement time to prevent failures and accidents in advance. The life of the transformer depends on the life of the insulating paper. The deterioration of insulating paper is greatly affected by temperature. In particular, degradation may deteriorate in the peripheral insulating paper of the winding in which the highest temperature is generated. The Hot Spot temperature of the winding is affected by the load of the transformer. That is, in order to calculate the remaining life of the transformer, it is necessary to know the real-time winding Hot Spot temperature. In addition, real-time loads must be secured to estimate this. KEPCO measures real-time load data from 500,000 transformers, which account for about 22% of domestic transformers. Therefore, if it is necessary to analyze the life of a transformer that is not measuring the load, the load should be estimated. This study derived a method to generate load patterns using the transformers measuring the real-time load and apply the generated load patterns to the calculation of the remaining life.
