Abstract
Analytic solutions for displacements and stresses for two homogeneous orthotropic elastic half-spaces having linear spring-like imperfect interface generated by a line source are obtained. As a particular case, expressions for displacements and stresses instigated by a vertical strike–slip fault are derived. We have studied the effects of linear spring-like interfaces on transmission of displacements and stresses through the interface. Line graphs, contour maps, and 3-D mesh-grid maps are used to study the results quantitatively.
