Kwaliteit van leven van alleenwonende ouderen

Samenvatting

Onlangs meldde het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS) dat het aantal alleenwonende 65-plussers in de toekomst sterk stijgt. Omdat van echtparen de man vaak als eerste overlijdt, blijven vrouwen naar verwachting een meerderheid vormen onder de alleenwonende 65-plussers. In een onderzoek naar de kwaliteit van leven van alleenwonende ouderen van 65 jaar of ouder gingen we na wat de verschillen zijn met samenwonende ouderen. Ook keken we naar verschillen tussen mannen en vrouwen en bepaalden de samenhang tussen kwaliteit van leven en socio-demografische kenmerken van de respondenten.
