Abstract

Ti-HMS materials with different Si/Ti ratio (5, 10, 20 and 30) were prepared and used as the support for a palladium-containing (1 wt%) catalyst. The materials, analyzed by XRD and SEM techniques, were tested in the synthesis of some thionocarbamates from reaction of sodium O-isopropyl carbonodithioate with the corresponding amines. The best yield was obtained with 3 mmol% of the catalyst (Pd/Ti-HMS-10) in water as solvent after 10–15-h heating at 75 °C. The structures of the products were identified by spectroscopy techniques such as 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, IR and elemental analysis.
