Abstract

In this paper, a new class of generalized Lindley distribution called the Topp-Leone Power Lindley distribution (TLPLD) is introduced. Some mathematical properties which include the shape of the density function, hazard rate function, quantile function, moments and related measures, mean deviation, Bonferroni and Lorenz curves, Renyi entropy, distribution of the ordered statistics and Reliability are derived. A lifetime data set is used to illustrate the applicability of the distribution.
