Abstract

In this current study, we have successfully synthesized Eu3+ doped Sr3Y(AlO)3(BO3)4 phosphors at various concentrations using the combustion method, maintaining a constant temperature of 740 (± 10) °C. We conducted X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The obtained XRD data confirm the crystalline structure of the prepared phosphor, validating its suitability for further characterization. Fourier transform spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis was employed to examine the chemical bonding within the phosphor. FTIR spectra revealed the presence of B–O, Al–O, and Y–O bonding, providing valuable insights into the chemical composition and structural integrity of the material. Photoluminescence (PL) emission spectra were recorded for the Sr3Y(AlO)3(BO3)4:Eu3+ phosphor samples excited at a wavelength of 395 nm. The PL spectra exhibited distinctive orange (594 nm) and red (614 nm) emissions. Notably, the highest emission intensity was observed at a Eu3+ ions concentration of 0.5 mol%, highlighting the optimal doping concentration for enhanced luminescent properties. These findings suggest that the synthesized material holds great promise for applications in white light-emitting diodes (w-LEDs).
