Microlicia sciophylla (Melastomataceae: Microlicieae), a new micro-endemic species from the rocky fields of Minas Gerais, Brazil

Summary

Microlicia sciophylla is described, illustrated and compared to morphologically related species from rocky fields of Bahia and Minas Gerais states. Its conservation status is also assessed, and comments made on its narrow distribution in rocky fields from northern Serra do Cipó and Diamantina plateau in Minas Gerais state.
