Abstract

By exploiting supersymmetry and factorization method, higher partial wave nucleon–nucleon potentials ( = 1, 2, 3) for a few selected triplet and singlet states are generated from the ground-state interaction and wave function. The nuclear Hulthen potential and the corresponding wave function with the parameters of Arnold and Mackellar which fit the deuteron binding energy are used as the starting point of our calculation. The scattering phase shifts are computed for the constructed potentials using phase function method to examine the merit of our approach to the problem.
