Abstract

Leucoma wiltshirei Collenette, 1938, is a monophagous pest feeding on green leaves of Quercus brantii Lindl. that can cause complete defoliation. During the studies conducted for the identification of biological control agents for L. wiltshirei, a new braconid wasp (Braconidae: Microgastrinae) was collected from oak forests of Basht county located in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province in spring of 2022. Dolichogenidea persica sp. n. is illustrated, described and compared with other species of the genus in Palaearctic, Afrotropical and Oriental regions.
