Abstract
The genus Subhimalus from tribe Paralimnini is reviewed from India along with the description of a new species. The genus was described from India by Ghauri (1971) with S. melanus as its type. A new species of the genus Subhimalus macrocurvatus sp. n. is described and illustrated from India after a long time. The genus includes five valid species and so far, has only been reported from India (five species) and China (two species). The worldwide checklist of species and keys to the Indian species are provided.
