Enhanced Microwave Absorption Performance of Double-Layer Absorbers Containing BaFe12O19 Ferrite and Graphite Nanosheet Composites

Abstract

The electromagnetic properties and microwave absorption performance of single-layer and double-layer absorbers were studied. Double-layer absorbers used BaFe12O19 composites as matching layer and graphite nanosheet composites as absorption layer achieved enhanced absorption performance, such as higher absorption capacity, wider bandwidths and thinner thickness. When the matching layer (BaFe12O19 composites) thickness is 1.0 mm and absorption layer (graphite nanosheet composites) thickness is 1.5 mm, the minimum reflection loss of the double-layer absorbers is − 26 dB, the bandwidths with reflection loss below − 5 dB is 11.5 GHz (6.5–18 GHz).
