Abstract
Based on transformation optics and folded geometry, a twin cloak at a distance is designed and its optical properties are derived and analyzed. In order to hide an object, a proper antiobject is needed for each object to put in the structure of the external cloak. The illusory properties of this twin external cloak is also discussed, so the cloak can hide one (or more) object(s) from the observer’s sight and two separate objects are seen instead of the invisible object(s). We confirm the performance of the proposed cloaking device and its illusory properties by full-wave simulation of electric field distribution in two dimensions.
