Abstract
The importance of this study stems from the lack studies that discuss the role of digital Diplomacy, specifically in the Arab world. By studying reports from Palestinian embassies and ambassadors to EU countries, the study aims to identify the role of Twitter diplomacy in foreign policy with public Networks in the Eu. The research question evolved as follows: What is the part of Twitter diplomacy in the Palestinian foreign policy towards the European Union countries? Therefore, the study sample consisted of Palestinian ambassadors working in the EU. Checked the ambassador’s account during this period (13/04/2021 to 21/05/2021). The tweets of the embassies were classified and converted into digital data for tables and account content analysis, using a Twitter tool (twitonomy) and SPSS program for data collection and analysis of Twitter tweets. The study concludes that the Palestinian ambassadors could have used their Twitter accounts more effectively in digital diplomacy activities, as only ten embassies use Twitter. In contrast, the rest of the embassies have accounts on Facebook, and some embassies have recent reports and could be more active on Twitter. The study also recommends building a strategy for a Palestinian Digital Diplomacy so that it becomes one of the bases for the work of the diplomatic.
