Get 158-2020 State Primary Standard for the Electric Field Strength Unit Within the Frequency Range from 0 to 20 kHz

Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

The paper describes the composition and characteristics of GET 158-2020 State Primary Standard for the electric field strength unit within the frequency range from 0 to 20 kHz. The lower frequency range limit of AC electric field reproduction is extended from 20 Hz to 5 Hz in accordance with regulatory requirements, while the upper limit for the electric field strength (EFS) range amounts to 4000 V/m. The residual systematic error of GET 158-2020 reaches 1.4%; zero electric potential is ensured in the center of a field-generating system. Estimation specifics associated with the symmetric configuration of the standard are considered for the components of residual systematic error and error due to the transfer of the EFS unit, including those associated with the coupling of measuring antennas with the electrodes of field-generating systems. The State Verification Scheme for EFS measuring instruments, taking into account all trends in the development of this type of measurement, was drafted and discussed.
