Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics Aims and scope

The authors have conducted an experimental investigation into the thermal conductivity of materials of ceramic molds for investment casting of heat-resistant alloys. The general characteristic of the methods and equipment used to measure the thermal conductivity of such materials has been given. Results of measuring the thermal conductivity of a number of materials with powders of a course alumina aggregate and of fine alimuna, mullite, and zircon aggregates in the range of temperatures from 20 to 1700°C have been given.
