Propagation of Cylindrical and Spherical Waves in Two-Layer Soil Media

  • Published:
International Applied Mechanics Aims and scope

The process of wave propagation in a two-layer media is studied numerically using a model of nonlinear liquid three-component medium. The cases of cylindrical and spherical symmetries are considered. For description of wave propagation, the equations of continuum mechanics are used. The propagation of a pressure wave in the radial direction in a two-layer soil medium is described. The results are analyzed depending on layer parameters for both cases of symmetry.
