Abstract
This study examined the psychometric properties of the Career Transition Inventory after translation into Turkish (TR). A sample of 339 Turkish residents who had undergone a career transition completed the CTI-TR to test construct validity. A second sample of 184 individuals in career transition completed the CTI-TR, the Integrated Hope Scale and the Career Barriers Inventory to assess convergent validity. Explanatory and confirmatory analysis indicated a good fit with the 20-item and 2-factor model. Measurement invariance analyses indicated equivalence across sex for the CTI-TR. The results support the usage of the CTI-TR in Turkish contexts.

Évaluation psychométrique de l’inventaire de transition de carrière sur une population turque Cette étude a examiné les propriétés psychométriques de l’inventaire de transition de carrière après sa traduction en turc. Un échantillon de 339 résidents turcs ayant subi une transition de carrière a rempli le CTI-TR pour tester la validité de construit. Un second échantillon de 184 personnes en transition de carrière a complété le CTI-TR, l’échelle d’espoir integrée (Integrated Hope Scale) et l’inventaire des obstacles de carrière (Career Barriers Inventory) afin d’évaluer la validité convergente. Les analyses explicatives et confirmatoires ont montré une bonne adéquation avec les 20 items et le modèle à deux facteurs. Les analyses d’invariance ont indiqué une équivalence entre les sexes pour le CTI-TR. Les résultats confirment l’utilisation de la CTI-TR dans le contexte turc.
Zusammenfassung
Psychometrische Überprüfung des Career Transition Inventory mit türkischen Teilnehmern Die Studie untersuchte die psychometrischen Eigenschaften des Career Transition Inventory nach der Übersetzung ins Türkische. Eine Stichprobe von 339 türkischen Einwohnern, die einen beruflichen Veränderungsprozess durchlaufen hatten, füllte das CTI-TR aus, um die Konstruktvalidität zu prüfen. Eine zweite Stichprobe von 184 Personen, die sich ebenfalls in einem beruflichen Veränderungsprozess befanden, füllte das CTI-TR, die Integrated Hope Scale und das Career Barriers Inventory aus, um die konvergente Validität zu beurteilen. Exploratorische und konfirmatorische Analysen zeigten eine gute Passung mit dem 20-Item- und Zwei-Faktoren-Modell. Analysen zur Messinvarianz zeigten geschlechtsübergreifende Äquivalenz des CTI-TR. Die Ergebnisse unterstützen die Eignung des CTI-TR im türkischen Kontexten.
Resumen
Evaluación psicométrica del Inventario de Transición Profesional (CTI) con participantes turcos Este estudio examina las propiedades psicométricas del Inventario de Transición Profesional después de su traducción al turco (CTI-TR). El CTI-TR fue administrado a una muestra de 339 residentes turcos que habían pasado por una transición profesional al objeto de comprobar la validez de constructo. Una segunda muestra de 184 personas en transición profesional cumplimentó el CTI-TR, la Escala Integrada de Esperanza (IHS) y el Inventario de Barreras Profesionales (CBI) para evaluar la validez convergente. El análisis explicativo y confirmatorio indica un buen ajuste con el modelo de 20 elementos y dos factores. Los análisis de medición de la invarianza indicaron una equivalencia entre los sexos para el CTI-TR. Los resultados apoyan el uso del CTI-TR en contextos turcos.
