Repair of Welded Joints Made of Steel P91 (X10CrMoVNb9-1) by a Backing Run of the Selected Site with Heat Treatment

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

The results of complex studies of welded joints made of steel P91 (X10CrMoVNb9-1) with repair welding performed in OAO VTI are presented. A control weld joint was made for the research with repair welding using chromium welding materials. Welded joint metal samples were examined, including the initial (main) and repair seams, the heat affected zone, and adjacent base metal. Research results with the assessment of welded joint life properties with repair welding are analyzed.
