Structure and Dynamics of Macrophyte Fouling of a Hydraulic Structure (Black Sea)

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

The ecological and taxonomic composition, frequency, and abundance of algae in fouling of a coastal hydraulic structure are described. The characteristics of the distribution of algae at different distances from the shore and water surface are determined. The data obtained indicate a high role of macrophyte fouling of hydraulic structures in maintaining biodiversity of marine communities.
