Reliability and Efficiency of Feedwater Pumps of High-Power Units of Thermal Power Plants

The results of commercial operation of high-power feedwater pumps made by Sulzer, KSB, and Proletarsky Zavod at 300, 500, and 800 MW power units are discussed. The designs, efficiencies, and reliability of the feed pumps are compared.
