  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

A new diarylheptanoid, 3,4-dihydroxy-1,7-bis(4′ ,4′′-dihydroxyphenyl)-heptane (1), was isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of Betula platyphylla. Its structure was established by spectroscopic analyses, including 1D and 2D NMR (1H, 13C, COSY, HMBC, and HSQC) and HR-ESI-TOFMS, and comparison with the data of known analogs.
