Reactions of 1-substituted 8-hydrazinotheobromines with Dicarbonyl Compounds

Previously undescribed 8-(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl-1)theobromines and 8-(3,4-dimethyl-6-oxopyrano [2,3-c]pyrazol-1-yl)theobromines, promising biologically active compounds, were prepared by reacting hydrazinotheobromines with acetylacetone and acetoacetic ester. The physicochemical properties of the synthesized compounds were studied.
