Abstract

In the recent period, numerous techniques were implemented to increase the performance of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals. Among those methods, the partial transmit sequence (PTS) and selected mapping (SLM) shows a significant reduction and improvement in peak to average power ratio (PAPR). Compared to individual SLM and PTS, the combination of SLM-PTS significantly reduces the complexity and PAPR. This scenario focus on improving the SLM-PTS method with the improvement in new regressive group phase weighting approach. This approach exploits in managing the complexity ratio possessed by conventional SLM-PTS, further achieves PAPR reduction in OFDM method. Simulation and experimental outcome confirm that the proposed technique helps to reduce the complexity ratio in a significant manner.
