Determining the Expected Effective Characteristics of a Refrigerating Machine

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

A new technique of creating a uniform designation of the points of the thermodynamic cycles of refrigerating machines in the state diagram of the cooling agent along with the computational equations of the parameters of the cycle are presented. The heat balances of the main and auxiliary devices of refrigerating machines are considered. A universal technique of determining the parameters of any thermodynamic cycle and a technique of determining the expected effective characteristics of refrigerating machines on the basis of the characteristics of the theoretical cycles are set forth. This makes it possible to perform a directed choice of designs and cycles for specified conditions.
