The use of fuels and oils that deviate from the relevant standards leads to a build-up of deposits in oil and on engine parts, reducing the service life of freshly refilled oil and impairing the performance of machinery. Following 150–200 h of operation, oil becomes unfit for use, thus increasing the wear and tear of parts, as well as repair and operating costs. The conducted studies showed that contaminants dissolved in oil can be removed using a reagent-based deep cleaning approach. Coagulated contaminants are deposited in the centrifuges built into the lubrication system during short-term engine operation. As well as purifying operating oil, reagents can be used to flush the lubrication systems of agricultural machinery.
