Abstract

In the present study, we discuss generalized ghost dark energy (GGDE) density and some scalar field dark energy (SFDE) models together with the Kaluza–Klein universe (KKU). Making use of this connection, we reconstruct in detail the dynamics of tachyon and quintessence type SFDE proposals. We show that the results we obtained are in consistent with the data presented by the Planck Collaboration. Additionally, we also reimplement dynamics of DBI (Dirac–Born–Infeld)-essence, k-essence (kinetic quintessence) and dilaton type SFDE models in a general form.
