Abstract

After introducing an auxiliary variable, the \((4+1)\)-dimensional variable-coefficient Fokas (4D vc-Fokas) equation is rewritten and its bilinear form is constructed by using the Bell polynomial. Based on the bilinear form, the bilinear B\(\ddot{a}\)cklund transformation is obtained and some solitary wave solutions are derived. In addition, some new lump solutions and interaction solutions are given, and the special solutions influenced by the parameter choice are analyzed.
