Optimization of Production and Industrial Systems (CPIE 2023)

Abstract

Invention of computer changed way of doing things and became part of human life. For better portability, mini versions of computers called personal computers (PCs) or laptops are developed. As electronics emit heat, the compact internal design of laptop challenges the thermal management of them. Development of powerful processors for better clock speed and thinner designs of laptop making heat management much more complicated. From the day of invention of laptop, new methods are being developed and a lot of research is going on for better heat management. This paper reviews the literature on various aspects of thermal management techniques dealing with laptops. Included papers on experimental work, numerical modeling, and advanced cooling methods.
