Abstract

Road accidents are becoming increasingly common, particularly among two-wheelers. When accident occurs, several deaths, organ loss, and amputations occurred due to the delayed treatment of the victims. Nowadays, one of the major threat to lives of India is due to the accidents. Generally, the major cause for the accidents is because of two-wheelers. There are many risk factors for accidents; they can be speeding, drunk or distracted driving, bad infrastructure, improper vehicles, breaking rules, and many more. To save the lives affected by these accidents, we proposed to develop a mobile application. This application detects collisions at a relatively high speed using the accelerometer built into smartphones. The accelerometer sends the alert message and location to the victim’s emergency contacts and nearby hospitals’ ambulance services. The proposed system can easily detect the occurrences of accidents and the victims’ life can be saved.
