Surgical Treatment of Chronic Constrictive Pericarditis

Abstract

This chapter highlights the nuances encountered in establishing the diagnosis of chronic constrictive pericarditis and various diseases mimicking constrictive pericarditis. A stepwise algorithm based on clinical picture, new echocardiographic techniques, and multimodality imaging studies for differentiating the allied disease entities and novel management strategies alongwith citations have been discussed.
