Abstract

Pilots and ground crew are continuously exposed to high intensity noise during operation. Compared with non-noise environment operators, the incidence of tinnitus, earache and hearing resolution reduction is significantly higher, which seriously affects their operation ability, quality of life and physical and mental health. Based on a comprehensive overview of the impact of aviation noise on human physical and mental health, the research and development of active noise reduction technology and its application in the individual protection of aviation noise are emphatically introduced, and the main principles of the airport composite active noise reduction earplug and the active noise elimination device of the flight helmet are described. This paper also points out the main contents and measures of individual protection against aviation noise. Combined with the development direction of aircraft noise research at home and abroad and the existing national military standards for noise protection and relevant regulations, it can be predicted that the impact of noise on human body will become an important part of the evaluation of aircraft noise environmental impact, which poses a new challenge to the research of individual protection technology and devices for aviation noise.
