Abstract
Vehicular Ad-Hoc communities (VANETs) are the latest technology in wireless networks. Various researchers developed an in-depth study of different benchmark clustering algorithms. A review of VANET routing protocols, this survey presents performance metrics in VANET introduced in this examination. The reason for using these papers is to analyze the current research and implementation of VANETs and their protocol network and performance metric. Classification is based on the type and implementation of routing protocols (topology cluster-based, broadcast-based, location-based, and geo-cast-based). Choosing the correct routing protocol to help find the best route from the host to the destination by ensuring security error-free data transfers can also be a constraint to successful vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure data transfers. VANET has many protocols that can be used. Each protocol has advantages/disadvantages; besides that, each has the same objective to make efficient communication. The protocol must also be adapted to geographical conditions, the size of the cluster that will apply, user habits, infrastructure in the field, and the targets to be achieved.
