Abstract
The elimination method of common mode voltage (CMV) of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) based on Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) three-level inverter is studied. This paper proposes a zero common mode algorithm, which only uses ZCM vector to synthesize reference voltage to eliminate CMV. The vector synthesis sequence is adjusted to make each phase-leg only turn on and off once in a switching cycle, and the time distribution of space vector is improved to reduce the current ripple. In addition, the carrier comparison-based pulse width modulation (CBPWM) is improved to reduce the algorithm complexity of ZCM. ZCM algorithm is implemented only by improving the modulation method, and has no effect on the control and load response of PMSM. Finally, the MATALB/Simulink simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed ZCM algorithm for NPC three-level inverter.
