Abstract

“There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.” Trauma is defined as “an emotional response to a horrible occurrence like an accident, rape, or natural disaster,” by the American Psychological Association (APA) [1]. Their goal is to expand psychological science and knowledge. Psychology is being used to influence important societal issues for the better and prepare psychology as a discipline and a career for the future. The world is going through a phase which is not understood by everyone and there might be various reasons for it. Majorly trauma, stress, and mental health are all interrelated and on how one leads to another is a great deal of study. People might not understand how one leads to another as they might not have the absolute proof for it, and speaking of which data analysis comes into play. In this paper, three datasets have been used and analyzed to show that crime such as rape leads to suicidal thoughts and such thoughts become an inception to mental trauma. Three datasets have been analyzed by following the methods of cleansing the data, analyzing, and visualizing it using Python libraries, namely pandas, seaborn, NumPy and matplotlib.
