Abstract

In the capacitor energy storage pulse power module, the modulated inductor is equivalent to the MA-class pulse current strong magnetic field source, which will interfere with the electromagnetic vacuum relay (energy release switch). By using ANSYS Maxwell software, the coil induced voltage and armature force of vacuum relay with different center distance, placement direction and Shell Shield are simulated and analyzed. The test environment is set up near the wave-modulated inductor, and the disturbed parameters of the vacuum relay are tested pertinently. The results of simulation and experiment show that the coil induced voltage and armature force can be reduced when the coil is placed vertically or shielded by copper shell. When the coil is placed vertically and the center distance is more than 450 mm, the measured induced voltage is 13.96 V, at the same time the force becomes basically no disturbance. The research is of practical value to the design of pulse power supply.
