Abstract

Inductive electromagnetic launch technology is playing an important role in electromagnetic launch technology due to its advantages of high controllability in acceleration process, fast muzzle velocity, high concealment and wide range of the load being accelerated. The working process of an inductive electromagnetic launcher (also called electromagnetic coil gun, induction coil gun, or coil gun for short) involves multi-field coupling. Before physical design, it is necessary to carry out theoretical analysis and simulations to analyze the coupling relationship between various parameters, so as to realize the optimal design scheme. In this paper, mathematical model of the system was established based on the working principle of inductive electromagnetic launcher. Also, the differential equation simulation model was established in MATLAB to obtain the change curve of each parameter in the system process. Furthermore, the particle swarm optimization algorithm was adopted to match the system parameters, so as to improve the initial velocity of the system and get the optimal parameters configuration.
