Abstract

The context of Industry 4.0 emphasizes on networking of manufacturing stations to a remote server for process planning and visualization. Especially for electronics production which is sensitive to process variations, networking of the manufacturing stations facilitates the monitoring of manufacturing stations remotely. In contrast with manual look up of the machines, the aforementioned approach allows prompt notification in real-time to manufacturer for immediate resolution and as a result, breakdown time of the production can be minimized. Therefore, this paper presents a wireless interface system for electronics microfabrication stations. Each microfabrication stations are interfaced with a WiFi module for wireless data transmission to a remote server established on Raspberry Pi. The experimental setup and testing of the developed system is presented in this paper for public interest.
