Abstract

Through analyzing the principle of spline curve interpolation in aerospace CNC machining, the reasons that lead to feedrate fluctuation were pointed out. And a real-time interpolation algorithm based on Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines (NURBS) curve was proposed. And the detailed realization of this proposed algorithm has also been given. To avoid derivative calculation of conventional methods, Newton iteration algorithm is adopted to calculate interpolation values. And the Adams prediction equation was reduced down to simple linear recursive function, which is used to compute the iterative initial value of an interpolation parameter. Simulation results indicate that the proposed interpolation algorithms have advantages of low computational consumption, fine stability, and high process accuracy. The proposed method could answer the real-time interpolation requirements, and abate the feedrate fluctuation to an idea status.
