Abstract

Greater omental flap is one of the earliest-applied free tissue flaps, and it was also the first used for repair and reconstruction inside and outside the abdominal cavity [1]. In 1963, Romania surgeon Kiricuta used pedicled omental flap to perform breast reconstruction for ten patients with breast cancer. Among them, four cases did not use prosthesis implantation, and the effect was satisfactory. Since then, it has been reported that the free greater omentum flap was used to conduct the reconstruction of facial deformity for Romberg’s patients. Since then, the application field of the greater omental flap has become more and more extensive [2, 3].
