Abstract
The author discusses many-body correlations in light nuclei with a new method of the tensor-optimized antisymmetrized molecular dynamics (TOAMD). TOAMD is a successive variational framework introducing the correlation functions consisting of the tensor-type and central-type. In TOAMD, the multiple products of the correlation functions are treated and expanded into many-body operators using the cluster expansion. The correlation functions in each of many-body operators are independently determined in the total-energy minimization. The author presents the basic framework of TOAMD and the applications to light nuclei with bare nucleon-nucleon interaction. The roles of many-body correlations are discussed, which often induce the high-momentum components in nuclei.
