The oilfield in the case study is in development stage, which is located in the Qaidam Basin. The oil-water relationship of sand body is complex. How to use well seismic and production data to study the connectivity of sand body is the focus and difficulty of the study area.Firstly, the well seismic characteristics of the reservoir in the study area are analyzed. The higher ratio of sand to formation is strong amplitude reflection. Secondly, the root mean square of different oil formations is extracted and the sedimentary evolution law is analyzed. Thirdly, On the basis of rockphysics analysis, we use prestack depth domain seismic and waveform indication inversion technology to depict the profile and plane distribution characteristics of permeable thin sand body. Fourthly, the connectivity of sand body is studied based on well seismic data and production. The study area is a reservoir model of “one sand and one reservoir”. Finally, based on well seismic characteristics and sand body connectivity characteristics, Four wells were provided to achieved high production. This study provides guidance for the deployment of development wells in the later stage, and also provides technical guidance for the connectivity analysis of other development blocks.
