Abstract
Each of the chapters in this volume has examined how a philosophical perspective can be applied to an area in health professions education. These chapters have not been exhaustive but provide an accessible introduction to philosophy within health professions education. In this chapter, we summarise the core insights of these chapters, and discuss how readers may trace a concept of particular interest through the narrative the chapters weave. We discuss the limitations of this volume, particularly those that relate to our various backgrounds and experiences as editors. Here, we also synthesise the practice points offered at the end of each chapter, through which we offer our thoughts as to where interested students, educators, researchers, and practitioners, may wish to start when applying the insights of the chapters in this volume to their own practice.
