Abstract
This chapter aims to explore the philosophical foundation of Savarkar’s notions and actions and suggests crucial variables for further scientific analysis. The focal point of this discussion is on his life and efforts, and above all his composed texts, his perceptions of State, Hindutva and Hindu nationalism etc. This chapter explores the role and contribution of Savarkar as a revolutionary figure and briefly interprets the impact of his philosophy and writings on India’s revolutionary movement. This chapter also highlights on Savarkar who founded Hindu Mahasabha and remained devoted to its cause till the last breath.

By Hindu Rashtra, Savarkar meant a nation would have been a political formation having people living in a contiguous and adequate landscape with a common national identity, marked by the internal cohesion brought about by subtle cultural and racial affinities.
