Abstract
Inequality starts at home. Sons and daughters are not brought up in the same manner. Parents impose rules and regulation on girls, and sons are never even questioned. They perceive daughters as a marriage entity whose primary role in life is to get married. And, education is just used as a tool that will make it easier for them to get her married. She is admired if she is shy, quiet and docile and condemned when assertive and bold. Inequality has made men inhuman and entitled and sometimes criminals. Being a girl in itself is looked down upon in our society. Inequality threatens humanity’s growth and prosperity. Therefore, gender equality and sensitivity must be introduced in schools from younger ages so that our generations to come do not walk on the same path.
