Abstract

Pancreatic cystic lesions represent a wide spectrum of biologic behavior, ranging from benign to malignant [1]. With widespread use of cross-sectional imaging studies, the number of incidental pancreatic cystic lesions has increased. Management of pancreatic cyst is challenging, particularly when a lesion is located in the pancreas head, because surgical resection of pancreatic cysts is associated with a substantial morbidity of 20–40% and a mortality rate of 2% [2, 3].
