Abstract

Prepuce serves as skin reserve and has multiple reconstructive surgery uses, including hypospadias surgery, penile torsion, hypospadias failure, post-hypospadias repair strictures and other surgeries. The prepuce is a highly innervated, vascularized sensitive erogenous tissue and plays a vital role in normal human sexual response and is vital for normal copulatory behaviour. There are variations in normal as well as hooded prepuce in the hypospadias. The chapter is about the description of types of the normal, abnormal and hooded prepuce. Whether the prepucioplasty should be done or not and which type of hooded prepuce is suitable for the prepucioplasty.
