Abstract
The process of ageing on the face leads to dynamic wrinkles and static wrinkles. Botulinum toxin is a neuromodulator that relaxes targeted muscles, thereby reducing the intensity of contraction and dynamic wrinkling. Dermal fillers are used to replace lost volume due to loss of collagen, elastin, atrophy of deep fat pads and bone resorption. Fillers aid in contouring, lifting and rejuvenating ageing skin and are also used to enhance and accentuate facial features.
