Abstract
Location data consist of information regarding the geographical position (coordinates) of a device or tool collected through different methods. New generation devices collect a large amount of personal data, including location data. Such data could be revealing about the habits of individuals. The article addresses the issue of location data usage in different contexts and for different purposes from a privacy perspective. Lastly, the article focuses on the theme of the use of location data in the context of contact tracing during the pandemic.
