Abstract

Consulting the offset printing quality evaluation system, a set of printing test form is designed and printed at digital printing machines, the Founder Yinjie C1060 and the Epson Stylus Pro 9910, with four kinds of paper. In order to contrastive analysis, this test form is also printed at offset printing machine—the Guanghua PZ1650 with 157 g art paper. The printing quality was measured and analyzed in terms of the color gamut performance, the solid density, the relative contrast and the gray balance. The results shows that the digital printing quality is more stable and superior than the traditional offset printing, especially at the quality stability, the color gamut performance, the solid density and the relative contrast. Also the color management is very important to the color gamut performance for the digital printing furthermore.
