Abstract

The mechanical properties of materials, generally including bending, flat drawing, shearing, compression and so on, but as packaging materials, there is little research on EPP in China at present. This paper focuses on the static compression, which affects the cushioning properties of EPP. With the help of GT-TCS-2000 computer servo pressure testing machine, the static compression experiments of EPP with different foaming times and material density were carried out. The results show that in the static compression test, the higher the foaming ratio is, the smaller the static compression strength is, but the properties of 45 times and 60 times are similar, and 20 times and 30 times are similar. The secondary compression has a certain impact on its performance. The research results are of great significance for the application of domestic EPP materials in packaging.
